الملخص
هذه الورقة بحثت في الاتجاهات في ممارسات تدريس العلوم والأنشطة الصفية المرتبطة بالعلوم لدى معلمي العلوم في التعليم العام في المملكة العربية السعودية من وجهة نظر المشرفين عليهم. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تم تقييم وجهة نظر المشرف حول أهمية الأنشطة التعليمية المرتبطة بالعلوم. جُمعت البيانات من خلال استبـانة موثوقة (19 بندًا)، جرى تطبيقها على عينة عشوائية من 60 مشرفًا في العلوم (32 ذكرًا، 28 أنثى) من مناطق مختلفة من المملكة العربية السعودية. أظهرت النتائج أن المشرفين يعتبرون أنشطة الصف في العلوم مركزة على المعلم وليست مركزة على الطالب. وبالنسبة لتقديرات المشرفين لأهمية أنشطة التدريس، أشارت النتائج إلى أنهم يعتقدون أن أهم أنشطة التدريس هي: تطوير مهارات عمليات العلم، وتنفيذ التجارب للتحقق من المعلومات، وتزويد الطلاب بالأفكار العلمية الصحيحة. أظهرت النتائج أن أقل الأنشطة أهمية هي تلك التي تجعل الطلاب مشاركين نشطين في عملية التعلم. وخلصت الدراسة إلى أن مشرفي العلوم يميلون إلى الأنشطة التقليدية التي تجعل المعلم وليس الطالب مركز العملية التعليمية.
