الملخص
تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى فحص العلاقة بين أبعاد الثقافة الدولية وخمسة عوامل الشخصية في عينة من 1080 مدرساً كويتيًا ومصريًا اختيروا عشوائيًا من مدارس ثانوية في الكويت، مقاسة بأبعاد Hofstede الخمسة للثقافة ونموذج العوامل الخمسة للشخصية؛ كما أُخذت في الاعتبار النوع والجنسية. أشارت النتائج إلى وجود معاملات ارتباط طيبة بين اللطف ومسافة السلطة، والضمير وكل من الفردية والذكورة. كما توجد معاملـات ارتباط سلبية بين اللطف وكل من الفردية والذكورة وعدم اليقين، والضمير والمتغير المرتبط بمسافة السلطة وعدم اليقين والاتجاه بعيد المدى. كما أظهرت النتائج أن الذكور يختلفون عن الإناث في أربعة من الأبعاد الخمسة للثقافة. ومع ذلك، يختلف الكويتيون عن المصريين في أربعة من الأبعاد الخمسة للثقافة. باستثناء الاتجاه بعيد المدى، لم تكن هناك فروق ذات دلالة بين الكويتيين والمصريين.
