الملخص
تهدف الدراسة الحالية إلى فحص الفرق بين الطلاب في المدرسة الثانوية من الذكور والإناث فيما يتعلق بالمشاركة في دروس التربية البدنية وتقدير الذات. تتكون عينة الدراسة من 305 طالباً (136 ذكراً، 169 أنثى). تم تطبيق مقياس Rosenberg لتقدير الذات، وملف تصور الذات البدنية Fox وCorbin عليهم. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة فروقاً ذات دلالة في تقدير الذات، خاصة في تقدير الذات البدني بين الطلاب ذوي المشاركة العالية والمنخفضة في التربية البدنية، وكذلك فروق جنسية في تقدير الذات خاصة بين الطلاب ذوي المشاركة المنخفضة في درس التربية البدنية. كما أظهرت النتائج أن مشاركة الطالبات في درس التربية البدنية لم تتأثر بمستوى تقدير الذات.
