الملخص
هدفت الدراسة إلى تقييم برنامج إعداد المعلمين في كلية التربية بجامعة السلطان قابوس من وجهة نظر خريجيه من دفعات 1990-2007. لجمع البيانات، تم توزيع استبيان على 639 خريجاً يمثلون 8% من المجتمع (ن = 7890). تضمن الاستبيان ثلاثة أبعاد: (1) المحتوى، (2) أساليب التدريس، و(3) التقييم. بلغت موثوقية الأبعاد الثلاثة بمعامل ألفا كرونباخ 0.82 و0.81 و0.84 على التوالي. كما تضمن الاستبيان سؤالاً مفتوحاً حول الصعوبات التي واجهها الخريجون في سوق العمل المرتبطة بالتحضير الأكاديمي. النتائج أظهرت أن الخريجين قيّموا مساهمة دورات التخصص بشكل عالٍ مقارنة بالدورات التعليمية/المهنية التي اعتبرت مساهمتها متوسطة. كما أظهرت النتائج أن 40% من العينة يرون وجود تداخل بين الدورات؛ كانت المحاضرة الأسلوب التدريسي الرئيسي المستخدم مقارنةً بأسلوب الرحلة الميدانية الذي كان الأقل استخداماً. وكانت أسئلة المقالة هي طريقة التقييم الأساسية. وأخيراً، فإن أكثر الصعوبات شيوعاً التي واجهها الخريجون هي التفاوت بين المعارف المكتسبة في الكلية والمعرفة المطلوبة في الميدان.
