الملخص
في العدد الصادر في يناير 2023 من مجلة عمان الطبية، درس لاي وآخرون تأثير العنف من الشريك الحميم (IPV) على النساء الإيرانيات المتزوجات على نمو وتطور أطفالهن الذين شهدوا ذلك. استنادًا إلى منحنيات مؤشر كتلة الجسم (BMI) لمنظمة الصحة العالمية، أفاد المؤلفون أن 91.7% من الأطفال كانوا بوزن طبيعي و8.3% المتبقية كانوا يعانون من زيادة الوزن أو السمنة. لم تكن هناك اختلافات ذات دلالة إحصائية بين درجة Z لمؤشر كتلة الجسم والعيوب التنموية في أطفال النساء اللاتي تعرضن للعنف واللاتي لم يتعرضن له. خلصت الورقة إلى أن معدلات النمو والتطور الضعيف لدى الأطفال الذين شهدوا IPV كانت منخفضة.
