كانت مؤشرات ملاءمة الشخص المعتمدة على الباقي من Wright هي أول مؤشرات لملاءمة الشخص تستخدم نموذج IRT ثنائي القيم، وتُستخدم عادة مع برامج نموذج راش. على الرغم من وجود عدد من الدراسات التي اقترحت تعديلات لتحسين الخصائص الإحصائية لمؤشرات Wright، إلا أنها ظلت تفتقر إلى خصائص إحصائية جيدة. قدمت الدراسة مؤشرًا جديدًا لملاءمة الشخص وتبيان كيفية تفسيره وتطبيقه للكشف عن عدم ملاءمة الشخص. علاوة على ذلك، من خلال بيانات محاكاة، درست الدراسة الخصائص الإحصائية ونِسَب القوة للمؤشر الجديد وقارنتها بمؤشرات Wright. أظهرت النتائج أن المؤشر الجديد يمتلك خصائص إحصائية متفوقة تحت ظروف اختبار مختلفة وتفوّق على مؤشر Wright.
