Abstract
This letter addresses concerns regarding the appropriateness of using the World Health Organization (WHO) body mass index (BMI) curves for Iranian children. It highlights the endorsement of WHO BMI growth charts by the Iranian Ministry of Health and Education and discusses the alignment of these curves with local studies. The letter emphasizes the importance of using internationally recognized standards for assessing children's growth while acknowledging the existence of local BMI curves.
