Abstract
This letter discusses the study by Taheri et al. on the use of neck circumference (NC) as a screening tool for overweight and obesity in children and adolescents. It highlights the need for caution in interpreting the results due to the limited literature on NC accuracy, variability in cutoff points, and the necessity for large-scale studies to validate NC as a reliable screening method.
