تمزق الشريان الأورطي الصدري الناتج عن الصدمة هو أحد الأسباب الرئيسية للوفاة بعد الصدمات الشديدة، وقد تطورت الإصلاحات داخل الأوعية كبديل قابل للتطبيق للإصلاح الجراحي. تسلط هذه التقرير الضوء على دور تخطيط صدى القلب عبر المريء كأداة تصوير قيمة لتحديد الموقع الدقيق للآفة، وتوجيه وضع الدعامة، واكتشاف التسريبات حولها وتكملة المعلومات المستمدة من تصوير الأوعية أثناء نشر الدعامة.
