تعتبر الاضطرابات الحركية المستندة إلى العقد القاعدية العلامة المميزة للعرض العصبي النفسي لمرض ويلسون. نادراً ما يتم الإبلاغ عن النوبات في مرض ويلسون، خاصة كعرض أولي. نحن نبلغ عن حالة لرجل يبلغ من العمر 17 عامًا تم قبوله بسبب نوبات متكررة وتمت معالجته في البداية كحالة التهاب دماغ، وفي المتابعة اللاحقة تم تشخيصه بمرض ويلسون. تسلط هذه الحالة الضوء على أهمية النظر في إمكانية مرض ويلسون لدى المرضى الشباب الذين يقدمون بأعراض التهاب دماغ غير مفسرة.
