الملخص
فحصت الدراسة محددات الاكتئاب بين طلاب الجامعات في نيجيريا. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تم استخدام تصميم بحث وصفي من النوع الاستقصائي/المسحي في هذه الدراسة. شملت عينة في هذه الدراسة جميع طلاب المرحلة الجامعية في نيجيريا. كانت عينة الدراسة 1050 طالباً جامعياً. كانت الأداة المستخدمة في هذه الدراسة استبانة مهيكلة ومعدة ذاتياً مغلقة الأسئلة. أظهرت النتائج أن العمر والدخل كانا محددين مهمين للاكتئاب بين طلاب الجامعات في نيجيريا في حين أن نوع الأسرة ليس كذلك. لذلك يوصى بأن تقوم إدارة الجامعة بتعزيز خدمات الصحة النفسية من خلال التثقيف الصحي للكشف المبكر عن الاكتئاب وإدارته بين الطلاب.
