Electronic Bullying among a Sample of Students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders in Zarqa City

The current study aimed at investigating levels of electronic bullying among a sample of students with emotional and behavioral disorders in the city of Zarqa, Jordan. Further, the study aimed at investigating the existence of any differences in levels of bullying due to gender and age. The sample consisted of 117 male and female students recruited from 4 public schools in Zarqa educational district in academic year 2015/2016. The Electronic Bullying Scale and Behavioral Disorder Scale were used. The results indicated high levels of electronic bullying among students, with a mean of 3.77 out of 4. Additionally, statistically significant differences were found between male and female students -in favor of male students- and across age -in favor of students older than 14 years.

الهدف من الدراسة الحالية هو تقييم مستويات التنمر الإلكتروني بين عينة من الطلاب ذوي الاضطرابات العاطفية والسلوكية في مدينة الزرقاء بالأردن. كما هدفت الدراسة إلى استقصاء وجود فروقات في مستويات التنمر بحسب الجنس والعمر. تكونت العينة من 117 طالباً وطالبة من 4 مدارس حكومية في منطقة التعليم في الزرقاء في العام الدراسي 2015/2016. تم استخدام مقياس التنمر الإلكتروني ومقياس الاضطرابات السلوكية. أشارت النتائج إلى ارتفاع مستويات التنمر الإلكتروني بين الطلاب، بمتوسط 3.77 من 4. بالإضافة إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين الطلاب الذكور والإناث - لصالح الذكور - وعبر العمر - لصالح الطلاب الذين تزيد أعمارهم عن 14 عاماً.
