"abstract": "This research discusses the art of praising the Prophet Muhammad from its early beginnings during the era of the Messenger (peace be upon him) to the Mamluk era. It explores the stages of development, as well as the factors and reasons that contributed to its evolution, establishing it as a distinct art form. The poets of the Mamluk era were particularly influenced by the works of the poets Zuhair and al-Busiry (Burdah), with Safi al-Din al-Hilli being a prominent figure among them. The study provides a summarized introductory overview of al-Hilli's life and highlights the characteristics of his praises for the Messenger ﷺ. It examines his poetic methodology, including his approach to form and content, his extensive cultural knowledge, and his poetic skills in adapting difficult vocabulary while preserving its original meaning. The aim of this study is to identify the unique features of al-Hilli's poetry in his prophetic praises, distinguishing them from others, and to outline the stages of development in his poetry."
